Videotoolbar is an Internet Explorer and Firefox toolbar that let you search videos based in different options such as specific keywords, keywords from the current website and near videos from you current location. Plus, you have the option to make contextual searches selecting a text and doing right click.
How get it?
If you want to download videotoolbar for Internet Explorer, go to the following URL:
http://www.sinesat.com/videotoolbar.exe
and execute the installer.
If you want to download videotoolbar for Firefox, go to the following URL:
http://www.sinesat.com/install.html
Click in the link to install it, and click in the “Install Now” button when you see this dialog.
How use it?
After you install the toolbar, you’ll have the following features in the toolbar:
Search videos by keywords:
Just enter the keywords and click in the “Go” button, to redirect to a website that will show you the results of your search:
Get videos suggestions:
Just click in the triangle next to the two options, and you’ll see results based on the current website and suggestion videos in your geographical area:
For example, if you go to the URL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TopCoder and click the “Current website based” button, you’ll see video results related with this page:
Or if you just click the “Location based” button (in any website), you’ll see videos that are near from you:
You can also get the location based results in the “Near from me” link in the webpage that you show the videotoolbar results or using this link: http://pujaplicaciones.javeriana.edu.co/videotoolbar/search.aspx?l=true
Top videos:
Just click in the triangle next to the two options, and you’ll see results based recent, top rated and most viewed now videos.
Contextual search:
Just select any text from any web page and do right click to get a popup menu, and select the option “Find related videos…” to be redirected to a website that will show you the results related to the selected text:
